Are you unable to access your files on Computer?

Have your files got renamed with the .penta extension? If yes then it is clear that your Windows is attacked by the PENTA virus. PENTA Ransomware is a data encrypting malware that restricts access to the saved personal/business data and files. It encrypts and appends .penta as file extension. Then it demands ransom which is to be paid in Bitcoins cryptocurrency in exchange of getting the files decrypted. Actually the moment PENTA Ransomware attacks the compromised system, it scans all the saved files and data such as documents as .doc, .docx, excel, .xls, PDFs, photos, images, videos and databases which gets encrypted by appending the file name with .PENTA as extension. This is the reason as to why the files do not open. Even if the victims try to rename and remove the file extension, they are unable to do so. The PENTA Ransomware soon drops a ransom note as PENTA_READ ME.txt file bearing the information and instructions on how to pay and contact PENTA Ransomware operators.
